NEA Big Read Writing Workshop: "Telling True Stories" with Gabriel Furshong

NEA Big Read Writing Workshop: "Telling True Stories" with Gabriel Furshong

Quality journalism can both inform and captivate by dropping readers into the course of action, drawing disparate voices into dialogue, and following the author's interests to a point of greater purpose. Participants will discuss examples of powerful journalism, explore what makes these stories stand apart, and experiment with a few lines of their own. Seating is limited, register below.

Gabriel Furshong currently works as a freelance writer and teacher. A correspondent at Montana Quarterly, he reports on Montana politics for The Nation, High Country News, Yes! Magazine and other publications.

This workshop is brought to you by the Lewis & Clark Library as part of the NEA Big Read, a program of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest.
