NEA Big Read’s Fuzz by Mary Roach explores many attempts at controlling wildlife. Lewis & Clark Library is also exploring conservation of nature and wildlife throughout our NEA Big Read. Learn about the oldest wildlife conservation organization in the United States with Luke Coccoli from the Boone & Crockett Club. Luke will talk about the history, mission and purpose of the Club, and the human-wildlife conflicts and risks associated with losing hunting rights.

Luke Coccoli is the Director of Conservation Programs at Boone and Crockett Club’s Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Ranch. Luke is a native to Montana and grew up in Choteau. After attending Montana State University and graduating in 2012 with a BS degree in Fish & Wildlife Management he began working for the Club at the TRM Ranch and Rasmuson WIldlife Conservation Center. He now holds a M.Ed. degree from the University of Montana and lives on-site with his wife and two young children.

Brought to you by the Lewis & Clark Library as part of the NEA Big Read, a program of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest. To find out more about how National Endowment for the Arts grants impact individuals and communities, visit http://www.arts.gov
