About the presenter: Hugh Grinnell is the author of The Father of Glacier Park: Discoveries and Explorations in His Own Words by George Bird Grinnell, compiled by Hugh Grinnell. Hugh's book derives its authenticity from GBG's daily field journals, correspondence, and some of GBG's editorials over 35 years as editor of Forest and Stream sportsmen’s journal. The reader experiences the frequent discoveries of glaciers, mountain peaks, streams, and lakes never before seen by white men; encounters with Blackfeet and Kootenai Indians; hunting successes and failures; snow, ice, and wind; and why features were so-named by GBG.
